Annual General Meeting
The Annual General meeting of the Glenorchy City Bowls Club (Berriedale Bowls Club Inc) will be held at the clubrooms on Sunday 2 August 2020 at 1.30pm.
Nominations are now called for the following positions:
Patron
President
Male Vice President
Female Vice President
Secretary
Assistant Secretary
Treasurer
Assistant Treasurer
Up to 5 Members of the Management Committee
Greens Committee Chair
Chairperson of Selectors
Up to 4 Saturday/Midweek Selectors
Up to 2 Ladies Selectors
Nomination forms are available at club and must have a nominator and seconder as well as the consent of the person being nominated. Nominations should be lodged in the locked box on the wall in the clubrooms (underneath the defibrillator). In accordance with the club constitution, nominations close 10 days prior to the Annual General Meeting ie Thursday 23 July. Nominations received will be posted on the noticeboard at intervals up until the closing date, after which no further nominations will be accepted.
Nominations are also open for the Kevin Osbourne Award which is awarded each year to the Best Clubperson for the previous year as voted by members.
The award is named in honour of Kevin Osbourne who was a past president of the club and was donated to the club by his family following Kevin’s passing.
Each member is entitled to vote for this award. Voting forms are available at the bar or from the Secretary.
Your completed form should be lodged in the same locked box as the committee nomination forms. Voting for this award will close on Friday 31 July and the winner will be announced at the Annual General Meeting.
In addition to the normal business of the AGM, 3 motions will be put to the meeting to amend provisions of our Club Constitution. These amendments are detailed in the attached document.
